Boat trip to Kleftiko Pirate Sea Caves
General Description
Explore the coastline of Milos island in our 14m long traditional sailboat called Thalassitra. This boat tour departs from the port of Adamas and offers buffet lunch and snorkeling equipment.
Fishing village of Klima
We depart at 09:30 from the port of Adamas, heading to the west. Few minutes later we pass by Klima, the most traditional fishing village of Milos, with the characteristic boat garages on the ground floor of the houses. Next we find impressive rock formations that come out of the sea and resemble to bears, called Arkoudes.
Cape Vani
The boat will then pass by Cape Vani, a geologically impressive spot where old manganese mines operated between 1890 and 1920. Heading south at 10:30 we shall make a stop for a refreshing swim at the bay of Kalogries which has fantastic turquoise waters. There you can also enjoy a coffee and a sandwich.
Fantastic sea region of Kleftiko
Next stop at 12:30 is Kleftiko, the most marvelous spot of Milos. Located on the southern side of the island, Kleftiko is a place with large rocks coming from the sea and sea caves. For a thousand years this was a pirate hideout. In winter, the caves of Kleftiko are a refuge for seals. The water is crystal clean and passengers can jump from the sailboat. At 13:45 we depart for the Cave of Sykia, where we arrive at 14:30 and swim to the beach using flippers and masks.
Buffet lunch
After swimming, we will enjoy a tasteful barbeque on board or at the beach with grilled seafood (weather permitting). At 19:45 we depart for the return trip, enjoying the romantic sunset from the sea and tasting homemade ice-cream. We will return to Adamas following the same route. Return time in Adamas at 20:00.
NOTE: The boat trip schedule may change according to weather conditions. However, under no circumstances will Kleftiko be omitted from the schedule as this is definitely a must-see spot in Milos.
