General information

Agia Pelagia Beach is a charming long shore located in the settlement of the same name, 21 km west of Heraklion Town. The coast is covered in golden sand, and the waters boast a dazzling turquoise color. The beach is protected from the winds by the Souda Cape and is an excellent choice for a relaxing vacation.

Agia Pelagia is fully organized with sunbeds, umbrellas, and watersports facilities and numerous accommodations, taverns, and bars can be found in the tourist resort.

On the northern side lies the Cavity of Evresi. There, you can see a shrine on the spot where the icon of Saint Pelagia was discovered some centuries ago.
