Tymbaki Beach, also known as Kokkinos Pyrgos, is a charming, pebbly shore located about 70 km southwest of Heraklion Town. The beach is situated in a verdant, mountainous area known for its natural beauty. Note that it has been awarded the Blue Flag for its cleanliness and overall great condition.

The coast is covered in beautiful golden sand, and the crystal-clear sea boasts an azure color. It is usually calm but occasionally gets wavy due to the winds, making it perfect for practicing water sports like surfing. You will not find any facilities on the coast, such as umbrellas and sunbeds, but Tymbaki is an ideal alternative if you want to avoid large crowds and commotion.
