Mesolongi Tourism

Mesolongi is a large town of Sterea located between Acheloos and Evenos rivers, known its active participation in the Greek revolution in 1821. The heroic resistance of Messolongi has marked the history of Greece and has made the town quite unique in the eyes of Greeks and foreign travelers. Today, the town has nice tourist facilities, lovely monuments and paths to walk. The most important sight is the Garden of Heroes. Tourism in Mesolongi is not much developed, which makes it a great setting for relaxing holidays. There is no tourism office in Messolongi and no tourist police either. For urgent matters, tourists can address to the police station of the town.
