Skopelos Neo Klima

General information

Nestled at the foot of Mount Dhelfi, Neo Klima (or Elios) is a tiny seaside village fringed by a verdant pine forest descending from the mountain all the way to the shore. Located around 13 kilometers from Skopelos Town, it is the most recently constructed settlement on the island, as it was only established in 1981, some years after Palio (Old) Klima was destroyed by a tremendous earthquake. Besides its quaint whitewashed houses and a small marina, the village features several accommodation options, as well as cafes and taverns catering to all visitors' needs. Also, the small Folklore Museum of Neo Klima was founded in 2024, near the village's dock. 

Neo Klima is ideally suited for a relaxing vacation, as besides its stunning natural surroundings, it lies close to such lovely beaches as Elios and Hovolo. The long coastline has both sandy and pebbly sections, offering something for all tastes, while ts crystalline azure waters are perfect for a variety of activities, such as scuba diving, snorkeling and kayaking.

At the same time, the wider area is sure to delight nature enthusiasts, as the majestic forest-covered mountain offers a great opportunity for hiking. Many of the trails are signposted, but asking the locals about scenic routes is always a good idea.
