Location: Glosa Don't miss: Museums guide (free admission dates and other useful info)
Located in the center of Glossa, the Alexandros Sideris Gallery houses some of the most representative paintings of Alexandros Sideris’s 50-year-long fruitful career. Originally hailing from the village of Glossa, the artist lived and worked in France and the United States throughout most of his life, attaining international recognition. A few years before his death in 1978, he donated 42 of his finest works, as well as 1,000 books from his personal library to his beloved birthplace and the Church of Glossa.
Today, the non-profit Alexandros Sideris Association, founded by residents of Glossa, has undertaken the restoration of these remarkable works of art, as well as the task of finding a more suitable place where the collection can be exhibited.
