Skopelos Loutraki beach

General information

Stretching just outside the port of Glossa, Loutraki is a long pebbly beach with crystalline azure waters and magnificent sunset views. Thanks to its proximity to the port, it also offers easy access to a range of conveniences, such as quaint seaside taverns and nice cafes. Some accommodation options are also available, should you prefer to stay in Glossa, which will steal your heart with its peacefulness and tranquility if you’re looking forward to a relaxing vacation.

Loutraki is partly organized with a changing cabin and a shower, but there are usually no other beach amenities, so it might be a good idea to come prepared with your own umbrella. Right beside the waterfront, the scant remnants of ancient Selinous can still be discerned, while on the opposite side of the port, visitors will find another pebbly beach called Katakalou, which lies in front of the ruins of some Roman baths.

If you do not have your own vehicle, you can reach Loutraki by bus from Skopelos Town. However, the best way of getting there is by car, following either the inland or the coastal route, both of which are very scenic.
