General information

Within a short distance from Agnontas, visitors will find another enchanting beach known as Limnonari. Stretching in the heart of a sheltered bay that makes it look like a small like (“limnonari” in Greek), it is a place of such natural beauty that even Ares, the ancient Greek god of war, is said to have been bewitched by it.

Strewn with fine white sand, Limnonari stands out for its sparkling emerald waters that reflect the bright blue sky and the verdant hills enclosing the beach. The flat stones that cover the seabed at places might be a bit slippery, but they should not pose a problem, especially if you come equipped with a pair of water shoes.

The beach is organized with sunbeds and umbrellas, while a beach bar and a fish tavern are also available nearby, catering to visitors’ needs. Access by road is relatively easy, but for the last kilometer or so, you will need to follow a winding dirt path that requires some attention.
