General information

Xenia is a long beach right next to the famous Koukounaries. Also known as Ampelakia Beach, it is surrounded by lush greenery and pine trees that reach the sea, providing some nice shade in the hot summer days. The waters are crystal blue and run pretty shallow making this the perfect spot for smaller kids to swim and play in the sand.

Xenia is well-organized with many umbrellas and sundecks available to rent. A beach bar overlooks the scenic beach, offering splendid views of the sea along with a wide range of delicious dishes and drinks. A luxurious hotel lies just behind the shore, offering easy access to the beach, while the wider area boasts even more accommodations and restaurants.

A bus stop lies just 400 meters from Xenia Beach, with buses running frequently from Skiathos Town. To reach the beach from the bus stop you will have to traverse a small dirt path down a steep hillside. Alternatively, you can make the 30-minute drive along the main road from Skiathos Town. It should be noted that there is no designated parking area nearby, so you can park your vehicle at the end of the dirt road by the bus stop. Small boats and water taxis departing from Skiathos Town can also take you to the idyllic beach.
