General information

Glyfoneri is a small cove on the northeastern coast of Skiathos. It is surrounded by high hills with sparse bushes and vast greenery. The light blue waters and the white sand with small pebbles create a picturesque environment ideal for a tranquil swim.

The beach is not organized, therefore beach-goers are advised to come well-equipped with all the essentials. The wider region offers some tourist facilities, including accommodations and a few restaurants. However, the more developed tourist infrastructure can be found in the capital. The beach is narrow and small, and it rarely gets crowded, even during peak summer months.

Glyfoneri is accessed through a long dirt road which can be traversed by car, the whole trip taking less than 15 minutes. You can also opt to travel by boat that departs from the port of Skiathos Town.

While in the area, make sure to visit some of the other idyllic beaches nearby, including Megas Gialos Beach and Xanemos Beach.
