General information

Named after its curved shape, which makes it look like a banana, Banana Beach is one of the most popular beaches in Skiathos. Boasting fine golden sand and crystalline waters, it is surrounded by lush pine trees and olive groves that create an idyllic landscape. Its location on the island’s western coast makes it an ideal spot for sunset viewing as the sun bursts in an explosion of colors. It is well-organized and offers a wide range of water sports facilities, as well as a beach bar from which to get refreshments and cocktails.

A little further to the north stretches a little cove known as Mikri (Little) Banana, a nudist beach separated from the main Banana Beach by a huge rock. It is quieter and smaller than its neighbor, but it shares the same fine sand and crystalline azure waters.

If you plan on getting here by bus, it is good to know that the beach is a fifteen-minute walk from the beach. Part of the route will require you to walk along a somewhat demanding uphill path, but the destination will surely be more than rewarding. Of course, you can also reach Banana by car, but it still takes a little walking from the parking lot to the shore.
