Skiathos Agia Eleni beach

General information

Agia Eleni is an enchanting cove named after the small chapel of Agia Eleni (Saint Helena) that lies nearby. This idyllic beach is located 14 km from Skiathos Town, on the west coast of the island, just 1.5 km from the popular Koukounaries Beach. It boasts a long stretch of golden sand and stunning blue waters. This is an ideal location for children due to the shallow waters and peaceful environment.

The beach is equipped with plenty of umbrellas and sunbeds to rent. When the sun is really hot, you can use the trees scattered on the shore as a natural shelter and admire the area's natural beauty. A beach bar is close to the shore and offers a variety of snacks, ice-cold coffee, and refreshing cocktails. A water sports center can also be found nearby that provides beach-goers with all the necessary equipment for water and jet skiing, banana rides, canoeing, and wakeboarding as well as boats for hire.

Access to the beach is relatively easy, with public buses making stops at Koukounaries, from where you can reach Agia Eleni within a 20-minute walk. Alternatively, you can take one of the many boats that depart from the port of Skiathos. The surrounding region also features some other beaches that are worth visiting, such as Mikri Banana and Krifi Ammos.
