Alonissos Tzortzi Gialos beach

General information

Tzortzi Gialos Beach is located in the southeastern part of Alonissos, about 6 km from Patitiri. This heavenly spot is ideal for those who love nature, as it is surrounded by lush pine woods growing free on the hillsides. This is one of the most secluded beaches on the island, offering a tranquil environment.

Tzortzi Gialos stretches for about 2 km with thick sand and pebbles, framed by the surrounding steep gorges and everlasting pine woods. The waters are relatively shallow and well-protected from the stronger winds, making this the perfect swimming and snorkeling destination for all ages. It should be noted that the beach is unorganized, lacking sunbeds and umbrellas. There is, however, a traditional restaurant serving fresh seafood just behind the shore.

Photography is one of the preferred hobbies among beach-goers, as the sea view from the top of the gorge is stunning. A few houses in the area are in total harmony with the rest of the landscape and don't spoil the view at all.
