General information

Roussoum Gialos is a lovely beach located on the southeastern shore of Alonissos, between Patitiri and the settlement of Votsi. The beach has clear waters and small white pebbles along the coastline. The low green hills on either side of the coast paint a wonderful picture and protect the sea from the strong winds, making this an ideal swimming spot.

This is an area with great tourist development and is considered one of the biggest attractions on the island. The beach itself boasts a collection of sunbeds and umbrellas to rent. After swimming, you can have lunch in the coastal taverns and taste many local recipes. Plenty of hotels and rooms to rent lie close to the beach, offering modern comforts and stunning sea views. Although this is a popular spot on the island, it keeps its authenticity and traditional character intact.

Roussom Gialos is easily accessible from Patitiri and Votsi on foot. Reaching the beach by private vehicle is also an option and drivers will most likely find a parking spot relatively easily.
