Alonissos Marpounta beach

General information

Marpounta is a beautiful sandy beach located 2.5 kilometers southwest of Patitiri, the capital of Alonissos. The sandy coast borders the crystal blue waters, which are calm and ideal for a refreshing dip. Lush green pine trees are found in the surrounding area, which add a wonderful natural backdrop to this lovely beach.

Part of Marpounta is organized with sunbeds and umbrellas, available to those staying in the nearby hotel. The rest of the beach remains untouched, allowing visitors to bring their own umbrellas and towels to lie on. Come well-prepared with necessities like food and water, as there are no restaurants or cafes nearby is recommended.

Note: This beach, like all beaches, is public but you may encounter issues with the staff that might not let you access it, even though there is a small path leading to the beach.
