Ferry
There is a regular ferry connection between Hydra and Athens. Ferries depart from the port of Piraeus daily, but more crossings take place during the high season to serve the thousands of travelers. The trip lasts approximately 2 hours and the route is operated by high-speed ferries.
Ferries that depart from Piraeus have Porto Heli as their final destination and also stop at the islands of Poros and Spetses, as well as the cosmopolitan seaside region of Ermioni. Therefore, it is possible to reach Hydra from any of these four areas.
Lastly, a small vessel connects the port of Hydra with the village of Metochi in the Peloponnese.
