The house of renowned poet, lyricist, and songwriter Leonard Cohen in Hydra is a three-story building with five interior rooms and a large patio! Cohen purchased this residence with a bequest from his grandmother in 1960 and ended up staying there for a total of seven straight years. It can be spotted due to its whitewashed walls, large windows, and gray double door with its characteristic hand-shaped door knocker!

The house remains permanently closed as of today since it remains a property of Cohen’s family, though many people who loved Cohen’s art visit it for a photo shoot. Also, plenty of fans hosted a ceremony to commemorate him soon after his passing in 2016, including bringing lots of flowers and personal notes and placing them in front of the house entrance.
