Agios Nektarios

The celebration of Agios Nektarios is the most important in Aegina island. It celebrates twice a year, on November 9th and September 3rd, attracting many visitors.

Cultural events

Miaoulia Festival in Hydra

Miaoulia Festival celebrates in late June on Hydra island, on the commemoration of a victorious naval battle of the local ships against the Ottomans, during the Greek War of Independence.

Armata Festival in Spetses

The Armata Festival takes place on Spetses island the first weekend after September 8th. It is an impressive celebration and includes the burning of a ship.
