General information

The village of Skala is the busiest destination in Agistri, offering visitors plenty of amenities and modern facilities. A big point of interest in the area is the lovely Skala Beach, one of the most popular beaches on the island. Stretching along the northeastern shore of Agistri, the beach is preferred by locals and tourists alike for its crystalline waters and sandy shore. It is also ideal for families with young children since the waters are relatively shallow.

Skala Beach caters to all tastes and preferences, offering both organized and unorganized areas. The two main organized spots of the beach lie in front of the church of Agioi Anargyroi and close to the coastal road to Megalochori. There you will find many sunbeds and umbrellas that are available for rent. Those who seek a more independent experience will find some nice stretches of sand to lay their towel and relax. The surrounding area hosts a variety of restaurants, seaside cafes, and accommodations.

Skala Beach lies in proximity to the port and can be reached on foot. From Megalochori, you can opt to drive or take the bus to Skala, which you should be able to reach in about 5 minutes. The Skala bus stop is situated right in front of the Church of Agioi Anargyroi, so access to the beach is very easy.
