Aegina Music Festival 2024

The Aegina International Music Festival returns for the 18th time to the idyllic island of Aegina from July 27th to August 24th of 2024. The internationally renowned pianist Dora Bakopoulou will once again serve as its artistic director. Live performances by Greek and international artists from the world of classical music will be held, with the forecourt of Sotiras Church and the charming Avra Beach serving as the stages for this year’s event.

The 18th Aegina International Festival is dedicated to Marianna Brown who unfortunately passed away in November of 2023 at the age of 29. The uber-talented pianist, composer, and sound producer first helmed the festival’s stage in 2008 when she was only 14 years old. She would go on to perform at the festival an additional two more times, in 2010 and again in 2023. Each time, Marianna captured the audience’s imagination with her excellent musicianship, charismatic presence, and raw passion, leaving an indelible mark on the identity of the festival. Marianna’s passion will continue to live on in the artists who are set to take the festival’s stage and all those she touched through her enchanting performances.
