Many festivals take place in the archaeological site and village of Olympia, particularly in summer. Due to the historical importance of this site, many visitors attend these festivals.

Ancient Olympia Festival
The Festival of Ancient Olympia lasts from July to August and events usually take place in Floka Theatre, 3 km from Olympia. These events include musical concerts, theatre performances, and lectures.

International Film Festival for Children
The Olympia International Film Festival for Children and Young People takes place in December in various venues of Olympia and Pyrgos. The main goals of this festival are to inform and encourage film creation and the development of audiovisual programs, especially for children and young people.
