Many festivals take place in Nafplion, particularly in the summer period, when there are more visitors in the region.

September 8th
On September 8th, on the occasion of the Birth of the Virgin Mary, there is the festival of Panagia Karathona, a small church in a walking distance from the city center of Nafplion Greece.

August 15th
On August 15th, there is a large panigiri in the village of Iria, close to Nafplion.

May 21st
On May 21st, there is the celebration of Agios Konstantinos and Agia Eleni in the beach resort of Tolo.

Cultural events

Festival of Argos-Mycenae
Many events take place in Nafplion as part of the Summer Festival of Argos-Mycenae. These events include theatre performances, music concerts, lectures, and art exhibitions.

Music Festival of Nafplion
The Music Festival of Nafplion takes place at the end of June in various venues around the town, including the Tower of Bourtzi. It features Greek and international artists.
