Αt New MYstras, just below the castle, Porfyra Icons store gives the opportunity to see a tradition that goes centuries back in time. A workshop full of icons created according to the orthodox way, using proper technique and respecting tradition.

Explore the world of hagiography and experience the creational process of a traditional icon. There are always icons for sale in the display, but orders of specific icons are accepted too. A variety of handmade souvenirs, gifts and jewels as well as history books about Mystras and local maps can also be found in the shop.
