Kalavryta Villages

Location: In northern Peloponnese
Description: Kalavryta is a picturesque town with traditional architecture. It is built among the mountains and has historical importance, as this small town was totally destroyed by the Nazi in 1943 and all male population was killed.

Location: 25 km south east of Kalavryta
Description: This is a small traditional village surrounded by lush environment of walnut and plane trees. The springs of Aroanios river are located closeby.

Location: 13 km north east of Kalavryta
Description: This traditional village is located close to Megalo Spileo Monastery. It is one of the main stops of the cog train.

Location: 16 km south of Kalavryta
Description: This is a small village in the mountains, mostly famous for the archaeological site where remains of the temple of Artemis are found.
