Ermioni is a picturesque town with an intense island vibe and long history, especially in ancient times. It is located on the southern side of the prefecture of Argolida, Peloponnese. Inhabited since the ancient times, the land of Ermioni is rich in ancient remains. The town is built amphitheatrically around a bay, on the slopes of a hill overlooking the sea. A natural port is located in front of the town and two nice windmills are found on the left and the right of the port.
The cape of Bitsi, on the east of the modern town, is a lush green area with pine forest. The beaches around Ermioni are a bit rocky but their water is clean. The shores are abrupt, unless if you move out of Ermioni and go to the beaches of Porto Heli and Petrothalassa. The geography of Ermioni is dotted by a green landscape and vast sea.
The closest big town close to Ermioni is Kranidi, an agricultural town built on the slopes of a hill. Another tourist resort close to Ermioni is Porto Heli, right opposite the island of Spetses.
