A new botanical garden with therapeutic herbs, cultural trails and theme hiking paths that will connect the monuments to each other are just few aspects of the Project for the Environmental Enhancement of Aklepieion in Ancient Epidaurus.

The building of the old primary school of Epidaurus that hosted in December 1821 the work of the First National Assembly of the Greeks will turn into a museum, after the decision of the Hellenic Parliament which will also finance this project.

A marble statue was recently discovered during restoration works in the surrounding area of the Small Theatre of Ancient Epidaurus, which is located just a walking distance from the seaside village of Ancient Epidaurus.

The Athens-Epidaurus Festival has recently released the Schedule for Summer 2011. Among them, the play Richard III performed by Hollywood actor Kevin Spacey.
