Elafonissos is mainly a fishing place, therefore the most characteristic dishes of Elafonissos are fresh fish dishes, fish soup, and grilled octopus. Try also the traditional saitia, fried pies with cheese and spices and the lobster spaghetti. Elafonissos also counts on many ouzeries to enjoy ouzo, the most traditional aperitif in Greece.
