The YMCA Basketball Museum is located at the end of Pavlou Mela Street, just 200 meters from the White Tower. This is the first museum of its kind in the country, founded in 2013 under the Youth Mobilization – Cultural Heritage and Athletic Valorization program. In October 2019, it was expanded with a new wing. The museum aims to highlight the contribution of the YMCA (Young Men’s Christian Association) to the promotion and development of basketball in Greece.

On the ground floor, the museum hosts several historical items, including personal belongings of athletes, souvenirs, and medals won by the YMCA teams. Sports equipment, sportswear, and historical documents are also on display. The new wing focuses on the National Basketball Team of Greece, with exhibits such as the jerseys of important Greek players, medals, tickets, balls, and various collectibles.

What is more, the collection of items from international events, teams, and federations allows visitors to learn about the history of the sport around the world. Apart from the regular exhibits, the museum provides educational programs and organizes cultural events to promote youth participation in the sport.

The YMCA Basketball Museum is open from 09:00 to 17:00 on weekdays and from 10:00 to 15:00 on weekends.
