It is a long, sandy beach with clean waters and constitutes a popular holiday resort for all types of holidaymakers. The waters here are crystal blue and relatively shallow, ideal for a relaxing swim. Many colorful fishing boats are often moored along the port of Nea Fokea, creating a picturesque scene.

The beach is well-organized, providing visitors with plenty of comforts including sunbeds and umbrellas to rent. There is a beach bar serving authentic Greek coffee and delicious snacks, as well as plenty of seaside restaurants just behind the beach. Many hotels are also scattered behind the shore, offering wonderful views of the sea and easy access to the beach.

The wider region of Nea Fokea presents many tourist facilities, including accommodations, restaurants, and cafes. Among the historic sites you can visit in Nea Fokea are the imposing Byzantine tower of Saint Paul, built in 1407, and the Twelve Apostles Orthodox Church dated to the mid-19th century, both situated within walking distance of the beach.
