General information

Moudounou beach Halkidiki: Moudounou is the main beach of Afytos, a lovely village located 46 km south of Poligiros, the capital of Halkidiki. The sandy beach stretches for 4 kilometers and is known for its crystalline waters and the hill surrounding. It has organized areas with water sports facilities for scuba diving and fishing.

Although there are beach bars and small taverns on the beachside, there are also some deserted coves at the northern end of the beach for those looking for some peace of mind. The area around the beach is perfect for long hikes into the mountainous countryside and tourists can visit interesting sites, such as the Folklore Museum of Afytos and the ancient quarries of Moudounou.
