The Vertzagio Folklore and Agricultural Museum is located between the villages of Katastari and Pigadakia, 16 km from Zakynthos Town. The museum opened in 1998 and its exhibition offers visitors the opportunity to admire traditional agricultural machinery, tools, utensils, clothing and other objects of the then daily life. The oldest items in the collection date to the 16th century!

At the entrance of the museum, you will see an authentic olive press, a grape press and a grain grinding machine. The interior of the museum has been designed to replicate a historically accurate traditional house of Zakynthos; it consists of a kitchen, a living room and a bedroom, decorated with antique furniture.
