The Perlegiannika Houses are waiting for you to experience tranquil, atmospheric and refreshing moments, away from the help and stress of the city. The story of Perlegiannika Houses begins in the early 2000s when my mother Sophia was accidentally found in Kythera, a place so special that she immediately decided that she would take refuge in the frenzied rhythms of everyday life.

Within a few months became a stone arch of the 18th century was originally built as a place of preparation and maturing wine, which turned the house of her dreams. In collaboration with local artisans and architects, he managed to give a contemporary and at the same time timeless impetus to this building that stood impassively on the hill of the Perlegians for 2.5 and a half centuries.

I remember the first time I saw the arch. I was 15 years old and the craftsmen had not yet started the maintenance and renovation work. I felt like I was in a traditional Greek fairy tale. I could imagine the smells of freshly baked bread coming out of the vaulted courtyard of the courtyard and the warmth that would give me sleep as I gazed at the huge fireplace across the raised stone bed. And my imagination didn't hurt me. The end result justified every expectation I had that morning so many years ago.
