General information

Melidoni Beach may be small, but attracts holidaymakers and locals like few in Kythira! It is a cove west of Chora, whose location and morphology protect it from winds.

The sandy beach is divided into two areas; one side is occupied by a beach bar with sunbeds and umbrellas, while the other is pristine. The waters are calm, crystal clear and suitable for snorkeling. Opposite the beach, one can discern Chytra Islet.
In addition, visitors who love adrenaline can try the on-site zip line.

Reaching Melidoni is only possible by car. The beach bar offers parking.
As Melidoni is one of the busiest beaches on the island, we recommend that visitors get there as early as possible, as both the organized and unorganized areas of the beach are crowded until the early afternoon hours during the high season.

    Melidoni beach
Melidoni beach is situated in the west coast of the island, it is a special place with gold sand, clear water and a good kantina.
The road for the beach is not asphalted and in some places not in perfect conditions, but at the end you'll find a spot of Paradise.
