Nightlife in Ithaca is restricted to few taverns and lounge bars. The waterfronts of Vathy, Frikes, and Kioni are lined up with many delicious restaurants and taverns that usually stay until a bit after midnight, creating a romantic atmosphere. Such taverns can also be found in the mountainous villages of Ithaca. Usually, in the evenings, the cafeterias of Ithaca turn into lounge bars and stay open till a bit after midnight. Generally, nights in Ithaca are peaceful and romantic.
