The main port of Corfu is located in the island's capital. It is a modern port that can host passenger ferries and cruise ships. All ferries from Greece (Igoumenitsa and Patra), Italy (Ancona, Bari), as well as Albania (Sarandë), stop there.
Corfu also has a smaller port situated at Lefkimi, connected with Paxi and Igoumenitsa.

Corfu Port

The main port is situated in Corfu Town, ideally located on the eastern side of the island and surrounded by a plethora of mesmerizing attractions, pretty hotels, restaurants, cafes, bars and kempt shops.

It receives dozens of passenger ferries and cruise ships throughout summer, especially during the peak season (July-August). It is connected with the Greek mainland, with ferries departing from Igoumenitsa (Epirus) and Patra (Peloponnese), Sarandë in Albania, and Ancona and Bari in Italy. From the port of Corfu, visitors can take a ferry to Paxi and the Diapontian Islands (Mathraki, Ereikoussa, Othoni), too.

KTEL Buses

The most affordable way to reach the port and overall move around the island is the local bus (KTEL). Several bus lines make a stop at the port, connecting it with other districts of the town. Line 15, in particular, connects it with the airport and the Intercity Bus Station, where buses to famous destinations like Paleokastritsa and Acharavi depart from. Car rentals

Having your own vehicle is the most convenient way to get to the port. If taking your car with you is not part of your holiday itinerary, renting one for as long as you stay on the island will allow you to reach any village, beach, or area you want at any time!

Taxis

Port Facilities

The port of Corfu is large and has different piers for ships to berth at. A shuttle bus functions in the port and transfers guests to the cruise terminal.
Due to its location, visitors have direct access to several eating and drinking establishments, hotels and shops.

 

Lefkimi Port

The port of Lefkimi is located at a distance of 43 km from Corfu Town. It lies closer to Igoumenitsa and Paxi and its position is convenient for vacationers who have booked their stay on the southern side of the island. Because of its shallow waters, it can only accommodate vessels that do not have a large draught.

You can reach the port of Lefkimi via bus or car.

A KTEL bus is the most budget-friendly option. Buses depart from the Green Buses - Intercity Bus Station in Corfu and the trip to Lefkimi lasts around 70 minutes. Travelers can buy purchase their tickets from the ticket desk inside the station.
Note: The route that reaches Lefkimi is the B1: Corfu - Kavos route.

Alternatively, you can go to Lefkimi with your own vehicle or rental car. The drive lasts around 40 minutes and you will pass by some of the most famous areas of the island.

Port Facilities

Lefkimi is a quite small port and finding your ferry is very easy.
Due to its proximity to Kavos, one of the liveliest tourist resorts on the island, the area has also presented a touristic development.
