Etrusco is reputed as one of the best restaurants in Corfu. The restaurant opened in 2000 by Italian chef Etrusco Botrini, who brought with him a long experience as cook and chef at the Club Mediterranee.
Since 2003, the restaurant has been managed by the son of Etrusco, Ettore Botrini. For many years, Ettore is being awarded prestigious awards in Greece and once his restaurant was even included among the top 100 restaurants in the world. Housed among a charming yard, the restaurant has a romantic al fresco setting with a classy ambiance and the presentation and service are simply incomparable.
Dinner starts with a complimentary starter of small canapes on a board with the map of the Mediterranean. The four-part menu includes appetizer, starters, main courses and desserts. Popular appetizers are the octopus or the seafood pasta dish. Chef Botrini's pastitsada, a local pasta dish of meat and tomato sauce is awesome, as also are the main dishes, such as slow-cooked lamb and pork belly.
For desserts, the chef innovatively blends the traditional with the modern in the most imaginative way. There is the chocolate soufflé with caramel and mandolato, a local specialty of caramelized almonds, and also the goat's cheese ice cream served with lemon sherbet and tomato jam. Also, there is also the traditional apple pie, as well as the orange mousse with a chocolate crust, which is a specialty sweet at the Etrusco. The restaurant opens every summer and it is located on the road to Kato Korakiana, about 14 km north of Corfu Town.
