vasilikiang 17 Sep 2010Fun but crowdedA gorgeous beach with soft sand and crystal water. It has a fun atmosphere and some beach bars with refreshing cocktails. Bad thing: it gets very crowded in high season. The bay next to Glyfada is Myrtiotissa beach, a partly nudist spot. The road to Glyfada is very narrow but through lush greenery.

danielabrist 28 Jul 2010Bit secluded after sunsetGlyfada beach guarantees amazing family holidays. I took my wife, son and daughter to a lovely Greek beach vacation this summer. We had been planning about it for over a year and I wanted to make sure that no mistake was made. We chose to stay in self catering apartment for a week near Glyfada beach. The two bedroom apartment was basic, but it had a balcony with amazing view of the sea. We had to walk for ten minutes to get to the beach. The days at the beach were great for swimming and my kids enjoyed a lot. I played water ski while my wife rented sea bicycle. Adrenaline pumping water sports are always our favorite. We cooked our breakfast everyday and had lunch and dinner in different taverns. Mostly, price was reasonable. Many bars were filled with English tourists. We did take some day trip to close regions, which we thoroughly enjoyed. The only bad thing is that the road to Glyfada is so narrow and windy and that the place gets pretty secluded after sunset. Next to Glyfada, there is another wonderful beach Myrtiotissa, partly nudist.

brittasch 02 Jun 2008Just like BaywatchWhen I first saw Glyfada beach from the slopes of a hill, I thought "This is Baywatch". It was an amazing extremely long and sandy beach but there was no need for a lifeguard, because the water was not deep at all. I mostly loved the beach bar and the refreshing coctails it made. When you go, say to Spyros the barman to make you a Malibu pineapple coctail. It is the best drink ever!!
