Mastiha shore excursion

General Description

This guided tour will take you on a complete journey around the world of mastic (mastiha), a product that prospers on Chian soil! You will be picked up from your hotel and we will swiftly start our tour, which lasts around 4.5 hours. A visit to the Chios Mastic Museum is a must and it will help us have a better understanding of the long history of this special resin!

Moreover, we will also explore villages with strong roots in mastic production, including the picturesque Pyrgi, the quaint medieval village of Mesta, the community of Kallimasia, and the seaside Komi Village. You will witness the beauty of the mastic trees, with their sparkling gray resin tears, and have a short coffee break, accompanied by a few local products!
