The rest of the Eastern Aegean islands have equally nice sandy beaches but they are not that famous. Chios, for example, is most famous for the Medieval villages rather than the coastline. Lesvos also does not have large bays but small family coves to relax. Lemnos, on the other hand, has impressively large sandy beaches but most of them are secluded and not very easy to reach.

Although the islands of the Eastern Aegean Sea are not as popular as other Greek island groups, they have large beaches with fantastic water. Discover Nas and Livadi Beach in Ikaria, Mavra Volia in Chios, Tsamadou and Lemonakia in Samos, and more.
One of the most beautiful beaches in Samos, Lemonakia is located on the northern side of the island and close to the tourist village of Kokkari. Surrounded by beautiful pine trees, Lemonakia has crystal blue-green water and soft white pebbles on the shore. This beach is organized with sunbeds and umbrellas and gets busy in the high season.
Located on the northern side of Ikaria island, Livadi is a large beach with fantastic blue water and soft sand on the shore. Partly organized with sunbeds and umbrellas, Livadi beach also has non-organized places for more privacy. It is found between the seaside villages of Armenistis and Gialiskari, offering easy access to visitors.
Located on the southern side of Chios island, Mavros Gialos is located close to the village of Emporios. Its name means black beach due to the black pebbles that are laid on the shore. Wild cliffs surround this place, creating a secluded atmosphere. The beach is large and provides room for all visitors.
One of the most famous beaches in Samos, Tsamadou is located on the northern side of the island, close to the tourist village of Kokkari. A short path goes from the road down to this beach, which has fantastic blue-green water, soft pebbles, and pine trees. In low season, part of the beach is frequented by naturists but in high season, the beach gets very crowded and nudism is usually not practiced.
A small and secluded beach on the northwestern side of Ikaria island, Nas is a wonderful place to relax. Occasionally this is a naturist beach, especially in the low season. The most famous characteristics of Nas beach are the crystal water and the fantastic sunset view. This beach is found at the end of a gorge and close to the ancient temple of Artemis.
Located on the eastern side of Thassos island, Golden Beach is a fantastic place to relax. With soft golden sand and crystal water, this place is among the most popular beaches of Thassos and gets very busy, especially in the high season. It is partly organized with sunbeds and umbrellas and lined up with traditional restaurants and hotels.
Located on the northern side of Lesvos, Petra is among the most beautiful beaches on the island. This beach with the soft sand and the crystal water is getting very popular with families and people looking for relaxing moments. Petra beach is organized with sunbeds and umbrellas, while there are also many traditional fish taverns and family studios along the coast.
Right next to the seaside village of Armenistis, on the northern side of Ikaria island, is the large bay of Messakti. This is a wonderful beach with soft white sand, exotic waters, and a secluded atmosphere. Part of the beach is organized with sunbeds and umbrellas, but it also has room for all visitors due to its large size. There is also a nice beach bar there for relaxing moments.
Alyki is one of the most famous and beautiful beaches on Thassos island. It is located on the southern side of Thassos and it is a bay surrounded by lush greenery. The crystal, blue-green water of Alyki and the white pebbles create a nice environment for families with kids and all visitors looking to relax. Such nice bays are found all around Alyki beach.
Such extremely large and secluded beaches are frequent in Lemnos island, Eastern Aegean Sea. Located on the eastern side of the island, Keros beach is a fantastic place with soft white sand and gorgeous water. Due to its windy conditions, this is a popular place for windsurfing in Lemnos and in fact, a windsurfing center has opened there.
