General information

Paradisi is one of the most attractive and charming villages of Rhodes, located 16 km west of Rhodes Town. The name "Paradisi" derives from the beautiful surroundings of exotic gardens that once stood there, featuring exotic flowers that the Arabs brought to the village. This is a true paradise, just as its name indicates.

This village has about 2,500 inhabitants but gets quite crowded during the summer months since the Diagoras International Airport is situated less than 2 kilometers away. The nearby beach is a developed tourist settlement with numerous local shops, traditional houses and several renovated buildings.

Even though Paradisi constitutes a popular tourist destination, the locals have preserved their sociable and friendly character. The area has various options for accommodation, food, shopping, and any kind of entertainment. Most people visit Paradisi for the sandy and organized Paradisi Beach that stretches for 10 km from Kremasti to Theologos and offers a remarkable view of the sunset. A unique celebration is held every year in the village known as the “strawberry festival”. Those visiting on the first Sunday of May will have the chance to partake in the event, trying out strawberry delicacies and enjoying traditional music.

Access to the village is easy from the town of Rhodes, with public buses and taxis running frequently.
