Rhodes Masari

General information

Masari village is located 35 kilometers south of Rhodes Town and can be easily accessed via the highway connecting Lindos to the island’s capital city. Surrounded by lush vegetation, fertile olive groves and citrus orchards, it is renowned for producing the best oranges on the island, and an annual orange feast is held there in March.

Walking around the village, visitors will have the chance to admire the beautiful neoclassical building that houses the local school, as well as the Monasteries of Saint John and Kamiri, with their impressive mosaic floors and Byzantine belfries. Masari has not been developed for tourism and has retained its customs and authenticity. Thus, it is a great destination if you’re seeking some peace and tranquility.

The surrounding landscape also offers plenty of nice trails for refreshing hiking expeditions.
