The largest island of the Dodecanese, Rhodes is an alternative hiking destination, given that it has no official E4 marked routes, but its landscape presents many opportunities for mountain explorers! Enjoy hiking on its hills, explore its traditional and remote villages, and travel through some of the island's finest spots! Visit Rhodes and try out one of the most preferred countryside paths, including trips to Seven Springs, the village of Salakos, and the Valley of the Butterflies!
Below are some of the recommended, unmapped and unofficial trails that one can follow on Rhodes.
We highly advise all hikers to carry enough water, take the necessary sun protection measures, and wear shoes suitable for hiking. For the longer trails, it is best to bring food and basic first aid supplies.
