The Rhodes Toy Museum is situated just outside the village of Archipoli, 30 km from Rhodes Town. Nestled amongst olive groves, it is surrounded by mountains and pine forests and is completely powered by solar energy.

The museum serves as a colorful preservation of the popular culture that dominated the country during the 20th century. Inside, you can find an exhibition of toys, many of which were made in Greece, from 1930 to 1990. Wind-up tin toys, battery-operated cars, board games, and Greek Playmobil are amongst the big collections of toys that are shown in the main exhibition hall.

The basement is made as a 'Games room', complete with arcade coin-operated machines and vintage game systems. These include a pinball machine, a jukebox, original Atari and Nintendo systems and a Pac-Man arcade cabinet. These machines are in working order and can be enjoyed by the visitors of the museum.

Besides the exhibition, there is also a playground for children as well as a terrace boasting a wonderful view of the surrounding natural landscape. In one area of the museum, kids can get hands-on experience with toys such as Lego and Playmobil and partake in handcrafts. On your way out make sure to stop by the gift shop, where original souvenirs and various toys are sold. The museum welcomes guests from Wednesday to Sunday, from 10:00 to 16:00.
