Standing at the center of the picturesque Koskinou village, the Traditional House is a stately Rhodian residence that has been converted into a small, yet impressive folklore museum.

Built in 1902, it takes visitors on a journey through time, offering them a unique glimpse into the everyday lives of the village’s inhabitants during the past centuries. The floor is a work of art in itself, as both the courtyard and the house are paved with hohlakia mosaics made with black and white pebbles that form decorative patterns. Inside the house, it is possible to see the layout of traditional bedrooms, as well as a number of everyday items like a loom, a spinning wheel, kitchenware, and much more.

The highlight is the so-called stolisia, a wall covered with beautifully painted clay plates, as well as handmade embroideries and textiles. Nearly covering the wall from top to bottom, the stolisia was a mark of status and still presents a stunning sight.
