The main objective of the aquarium is to rescue unprotected or injured animals and rehabilitate them, finally setting them free in their natural habitat. These creatures are carefully examined and treated by animal experts in the on-site hospital, helping them return to full health. With its different exhibitions, the aquarium also aims to educate guests about the rich diversity of Mediterranean sea life.
From many different fish species to crabs, stingrays, baby sharks and many more, the animals housed in the aquarium range from living at depths of 1 to 200 meters. Children are sure to be excited with the prospect of touching some animals, with the staff letting them get up close and personal with crabs, starfish, stingrays, and others. They will also be willing to answer any questions regarding the marine life. There is also a souvenir shop in the aquarium and, at the end of their visit, guests are gifted some mementos in the form of a free shell and some sea crystals.
The aquarium is open throughout the week including weekends, from 10:00 to 23:00.
