General information

Kalithea Beach is located on the eastern coast of Rhodes, 8 kilometers south of Rhodes Town. The famous Kallithea Hot Springs are located here, known since ancient times for their medicinal properties and therapeutic powers.

It is a truly magnificent spot, with palm and pine trees and beautifully renovated buildings sporting impressive mosaics (the springs) influenced by Arabic architecture. The emerald waters of the sea match perfectly with this idyllic scenery, adding one more touch of beauty to the whole picture. The waters are, however, relatively deep, so those wanting to go for a swim should proceed with caution.

On the beach, you will find many amenities such as sunbeds and umbrellas, as well as a public bathroom. There is also a bar that serves refreshing drinks, coffee, and a variety of snack options. The surrounding area boasts plenty of parking space, so getting to the beach by car is recommended.
