Rhodes International Airport is among the busiest airports in Greece. It receives domestic flights from Athens, Thessaloniki and other locations, while in summer it receives flights from many countries around Europe, too. The flight time from Athens is estimated at around 1 hour.
Upon your arrival on the island, you can reach your destination by car, public bus, or taxi. Since the airport is located about 16 km away from Rhodes Town, taking a taxi is a good idea.

You can easily reach Rhodes by ferry from Athens (Piraeus Port), as there are 1-2 daily crossings during the high season. However, the trip lasts 13 to 23.5 hours, depending on the route.
Apart from Athens, the island is also connected by ferry to Kos, Patmos, Leros, Simi and many other destinations. There are also some ferry routes from/to Heraklion and Karpathos, almost 3 times per week. Last but not least, itineraries from Marmaris in Turkey are also available.
