The pebbly Vagies Beach stretches right in front of the Diagoras International Airport of Rhodes, around 14 kilometers from Rhodes Town. Being exposed to the northern winds, it is not a popular swimming destination, but it is a great spot for windsurfing enthusiasts.

If you happen to happen to be in the area and are looking for a quick dip, Vagies is not a bad choice either. Nevertheless, you need to bear in mind that the noise from the airplanes might be disturbing. The beach is not organized, but there are plenty of facilities close to the airport.
