Rhodes Traganou beach

General information

The beach of Traganou (also spelled Traounou) is located 23 km south of Rhodes Τown and 4 km from Faliraki. Unlike all other beaches in the area, which are sandy and highly visited, Traganou is strewn with small light-colored pebbles and only a small part of the beach is organized, so that it retains its pristine natural beauty. Amenities include a few sunbeds and umbrellas, as well as changing rooms and showers. A small fish tavern also welcomes the hungry bathers during the day time.

On one extremity of the beach lies a superb cave, giving the whole place a unique and magical atmosphere. Boarded by crystalline turquoise waters, the cave makes Traganou a great destination and boat tours often stop there on their way to Kallithea or Anthony Quinn bay.
