Rhodes Lindos Beach (Limanaki Agios Pavlos)

General information

The little bay of Agios Pavlos (Saint Paul) lies close to the ancient Acropolis of Lindos. The bay owes its name to the lovely white chapel standing on the beach which is dedicated to Saint Paul, who came here in 43 AD and preached Christianity to the Rhodians.

Golden sand and pebbles compose the shore of the beach which spans less than 200 meters. The waters are calm and shallow and sport a stunning turquoise color. Sunbeds and umbrellas are available for rent and there is also a small tavern nearby. Rocks can be found on the shore, allowing visitors to dive into the clear waters.

The bay itself is almost completely surrounded by rocks, with small gaps that boats come in and out of. From this point, you can also view the cave where several scenes from the 1961 Hollywood production “The Guns of Navarone” were filmed. All in all, this is one of the most beautiful beach locations in Rhodes and is considered by many as one of the most impressive beaches in Greece.

Will enjoy more in low season
This one of the most beautiful beaches in Rhodes, my friends! It took its name because this is where Saint Paul landed on Rhodes to preach Christianity. This lovely beach with the soft sand gets very busy in high season, but if you go in early June like we did, you will love it even more. Busy crowds won't disturb you, only few tourists and locals will be on the beach and all the umbrellas will be yours. You will get what I mean when you go there. Hopefully for you, soon :-)
